 YUTAKA AND MAHONE WIN THE SEASON OPENER  Pros:
Yutaka returns from the break by taking the pole position and winning with authority with 6 laps over Santamarina! Santamarina & Hester both struggle with the new Bridgestone tires, with Hester ending up 4th. New to the Pro ranks, Bill Perry struts his stuff by putting in a respectable performance in the Stephenson C5 Corvette. The Morrison vs Romack rivalry is back in rare form and now Jack Thompson is in the mix. Where is Michael Schaub??? Rookies: The Mistubishi EVO of Dustin Mahone was smooth and quick but the win wasn't easy with everyone finishing on the same lap in the A Main. Returning Rookies, Adams and Paolini, lay down the law and show the newcomers that they won't hold any punches. Dresser breaks during qualifying but gets the bump up and places 3rd in the A Main. |
